This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. McKinley County Warrant Records is privately operated. It cannot confirm a warrant, accept money, post bond, arrange a surrender, change a court date, or give legal advice. Use the official office that matches the question.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Choose the contact by record type. A court controls warrant status and recall. An agency records desk can answer only for records it maintains.
- MCSO Records: for an existing sheriff record, service record, transport record, or IPRA request, call 505-863-1410. The office is at 1000 East Aztec Avenue and lists weekday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. service.
- District Court: for felony and other district matters, call the McKinley County District Court Clerk's Office at 505-863-6816, 207 W. Hill Ave., second floor, Room 200.
- Gallup Magistrate Court: for state misdemeanor, DWI, traffic, and preliminary-hearing cases, call 505-722-6636 at 285 Boardman Drive #C.
- Gallup Municipal Court: for city traffic, ordinance, petty-misdemeanor, animal, and code cases, call 505-863-4469 at 451 Boardman Drive. Published hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Use the court named on the citation or Case Lookup result. A lower-court warrant may not appear on a sheriff page.
Gallup City and Police Records
Gallup Police Records is at 451 S. Boardman Avenue and lists 505-863-9365 with weekday records hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Email inquiries go to GPDrecords@gallupnm.gov. The police records desk can address an agency record, but Gallup Municipal Court controls a city warrant's legal status.
The City Clerk's IPRA route is at 110 W. Aztec, 505-863-1254, pio@gallupnm.gov, fax 505-722-5132. The city lists oral and written requests, $0.50 per page, $5 per CD or DVD, and actual transmission cost. Ask for an existing record, not a new countywide list.
For an immediate emergency call 911. For a nonemergency tip, McKinley County lists Crime Stoppers at 1-877-722-6161. Neither tip line is a warrant-clearance channel.
